Kent Morrill - I Cannot Live Without Her - 1969 - Ex-Wailers
Interestingly, when I first heard this song I thought to myself that vocally this dude sounded a little like Roy Orbison and then when I was doing some research on old Kent I found out that later in life he was one of the leading Orbison impersonators in the country and was much regarded for his quality as not only could he pull the look off, vocally he wasn't too shabby either.
Morrill original sang with Tacoma, WA's Wailers, best known for their hit "Tall Cool One".
Kent passed away in April 2011 at the age of 70.
We currently have this fine record for sale in our ebay store!

Kent Morrill - The Wind Calls The Wild To It's Own - 1969 - Ex-Wailers
This is an interesting 45 sung by the ex-vocalist for the late 1950's early "garage band" The Wailers out of Tacoma, WA. This record is country-tinged soft rock that is really sorrowful and sad. Upon hearing the 45 originally I wasn't really blown away by the songs and didn't think much of them one way or the other, however between my original play testing, then dumping the vinyl on to the computer, making the "video" and making sure the MP3 sounded OK, I have grown to appreciate both songs and over the past few days have had them stuck in my head. They are the sneaky kind of catchy pop that you don't expect to get stuck in your head as the tracks are very unassuming and also kinda sad... and this is the more upbeat of the two songs!
Morrill passed away in April, 2011 shortly after his 70'th birthday.
